School's Out!!

I'm sorry that I have not posted since Easter! This has been a rough school year and I would come home and flop into my big chair and drink wine, make supper, and go to bed.
I started the Memorial Weekend off by attending graduation--part of the job!!:( Monday I spent all day cleaning out my closets and have successfully filled seven (7) garbage bags with clothes. I challenged Kirk to match it, yesterday (Tuesday) and he said "Not tonight." He mowed the grass instead, then helped Michael (our wonderfully artistic neighbor) move the final cabinet piece to our new built-in unit in our bedroom. It looks amazing. I have spent all day today putting books and pictures into the shelves and I still have space left. I just love it.
I have a conference to attend Sunday through Tuesday. I am part of a group of teachers who will be team teaching next year on the 9th grade level. I think that it will be a good thing. Of course, I have always been a cock-eyed optimist under the alias "Dorothy Daydream". I'm thinking that I might retire at the end of next year. I need to do some investigating, first though. Sorry I have been away so long. I'll be more diligent about writing.
